W. D. Li, University of California at Berkeley, reports the discovery by LOTOSS (cf. IAUC 7514) of an apparent supernova in unfiltered images taken with the Katzman Automatic Imaging Telescope (KAIT) on June 3.3 (mag about 17.2) and 4.3 UT (mag about 16.8). The new object is located at R.A. = 14h37m50s.08, Decl. = +30o29'02".2 (equinox 2000.0), which is 5".8 west and 3".0 north of the northern nucleus of UGC 9425. A KAIT image taken on May 24.3 showed nothing at this position (limiting mag about 18.5).
