SUPERNOVA 2002eo IN NGC 710

W. D. Li, University of California at Berkeley, reports the LOTOSS (cf. IAUC 7906) discovery of an apparent supernova (mag about 18.0) on unfiltered KAIT CCD images taken on Aug. 20.5 and 21.5 UT. SN 2002eo is located at R.A. = 1h52m55s.18, Decl. = +36o03'22".2 (equinox 2000.0), which is 13".9 east and 8".8 north of the nucleus of NGC 710. A KAIT image taken on Aug. 14.4 showed nothing at this position (limiting mag about 19.0).
