SUPERNOVA 2002hx IN PGC 23727

J. Graham and W. Li, University of California at Berkeley, report the LOTOSS (cf. IAUC 7906) discovery of an apparent supernova (mag about 18.3) on unfiltered KAIT images taken on Nov. 11.5 and 12.5 UT. SN 2002hx is located at R.A. = 8h27m39s.43, Decl. = -14o47'15".7 (equinox 2000.0), which is 4".2 west and 20".3 south of the nucleus of PGC 23727. A KAIT image taken on Oct. 26.5 showed nothing at this position (limiting mag about 19.5).
