SUPERNOVA 2003is IN MCG +07-40-3

Further to IAUC 8221, B. Beutler and W. Li report the LOTOSS
discovery of an apparent supernova (mag about 18.0) on unfiltered
KAIT images taken on Oct. 14.1 and 15.1 UT.  SN 2003is is located
at R.A. = 19h21m08s.00, Decl. = +43o19'35".4 (equinox 2000.0),
which is 3".9 west and 3".6 north of the nucleus of MCG +07-40-3.
A KAIT image taken on Oct. 4.1 showed nothing at this position
(limiting mag about 19.5).
