SUPERNOVA 2004K IN ESO 579-G22

     Further to IAUC 8272, J. Graham and W. Li report the LOSS
     discovery, on KAIT images taken on Jan. 19.6 (mag about 17.2) and
     21.5 UT (mag about 17.1), of an apparent supernova located at R.A.
     = 14h23m39s.85, Decl. = -19o26'50".0 (equinox 2000.0), which is
     15".5 west and 11".8 south of the nucleus of ESO 579-G22.  A KAIT
     image taken on 2003 July 1.2 showed nothing at this position
     (limiting mag about 19.0).
