SUPERNOVA 2006it IN NGC 6956

Further to IAUC 8754, N. Lee and W. Li report the LOSS
discovery of an apparent supernova on unfiltered KAIT images
taken on Oct. 1.17 (at mag 17.6) and 7.24 UT (mag 17.5).  The new
object is located at R.A. = 20h43m51s.38, Decl. = +12o30'30".9
(equinox 2000.0), which is 34".4 west and 12".0 south of the
nucleus of NGC 6956.  A KAIT image taken on Sept. 26.19 showed
nothing at this position (limiting mag 19.2).
