SUPERNOVA 2007P IN ESO 566-G36

     Further to IAUC 8798, D. Winslow and W. Li report the LOSS discovery
of an apparent supernova on unfiltered KAIT images taken on Jan. 23.40
(at mag 18.0) and 24.38 UT (mag 17.9).  SN 2007P is located at R.A. =
9h58m56s.41, Decl. = -18o49'11".4 (equinox 2000.0), which is 4".8 west
and 4".8 south of the center of ESO 566-G36.  KAIT images taken on 2006
Feb. 2.38 (limiting mag 19.0) and 2007 Jan. 13.41 (limiting mag 18.1)
showed nothing at this position.
