SUPERNOVA 2007rw IN UGC 7798

Further to CBET 1149, D. Madison and W. Li report the discovery
of an apparent supernova (mag 14.3) on unfiltered KAIT images taken on
Nov. 29.56 UT. The new object is located at R.A. = 12h38m03s.64,
Decl. = -2o15'40".1 (equinox 2000.0), which is 4".3 east and 8".9
north of the nucleus of UGC 7798. A KAIT image taken on May 9.11
showed nothing at this location (limiting mag 19.1). S. Gonzalez, Las
Campanas Observatory, on behalf of the Carnegie Supernova Project (CSP),
writes that he confirmed 2007rw at mag around 16 in several images
taken with the Swope 1.0-m telescope at Las Campanas on Dec. 2.32.
