SUPERNOVA 2007sq IN MCG -03-23-5

Further to CBET 1158, X. Parisky and W. Li report the discovery of
an apparent supernova (mag 17.9) on unfiltered KAIT images taken on Dec.
8.51 and 15.50 UT.  The new object is located at R.A. = 8h47m16s.13, Decl.
= -20o01'27".6 (equinox 2000.0), which is 10".6 west and 41".5 north of the
nucleus of MCG -03-23-5.  KAIT images taken on Mar. 16.12 (limiting mag
19.5) and Nov. 8.48 (limiting mag 18.2) showed nothing at this location.

Host galaxy info: vel = 4579 km/s, 3.4 x 0.5, 14, SAbc: sp HII
