SUPERNOVA 2008eg IN UGC 1324

Further to CBET 1440, W. Li and A. V. Filippenko, University of
California at Berkeley, report the LOSS discovery of an apparent supernova
on unfiltered KAIT images:

2008eg   July 20.48   1 51 36.27  +19 06 16.9   16.2    0".3 W, 5".6 N

Nothing was visible at this location on a KAIT image taken on Jan. 20.15 UT
(limiting mag 19.0).

Host galaxy info: vel =10090 km/s; 1.3 x 0.9; 14.26; SBb

SN type info: Ia
