SUPERNOVA 2008hx


Further to CBET 1600, S. B. Cenko, W. Li, and A. V. Filippenko,
University of California, report the LOSS discovery of an apparent
supernova on unfiltered KAIT images:

2008hx   Dec. 3.53   10 13 00.82  +17 02 09.3   18.7    6".9 W, 6".3 N

Additional KAIT magnitudes for 2008hx in NGC 3154:  a combined image from
Apr. 2 to May 17 UT, [20.1; Dec. 4.50, 18.9.  Li et al. also report
the following KAIT magnitudes for SN 2008hj (cf. CBETs 1579, 1583, 1585):
Oct. 25.22, [19.2; Nov. 17.22, 19.2 (limiting mag 19.8); Dec. 3.19, 17.1.
Their measured position for 2008hj is R.A. = 0h04m01s.92, Decl. =
-11o10'08".1 (equinox 2000.0), which is 5".9 east and 19".2 north of the
center of MCG -02-1-14.
