SUPERNOVA 2011M IN UGC 3218


     Further to CBET 2634, L. Jewett, S. B. Cenko, W. Li, and A. V. Filippenko
report the LOSS discovery of an apparent supernova on unfiltered KAIT images:

Additional KAIT magnitudes for 2011M:  Jan. 14.30 UT, [19.5; 20.30, 18.0.
This object was listed on the Central Bureau's TOCP webpage with the
provisional designation PSN J05004155+6214386.  R. A. Koff (Bennett, CO,
U.S.A., 25-cm reflector) reports that twenty co-added CCD images taken
on Jan. 22.073 yield mag 17.1 and position end figures 41s.27, 38".3.
The type-Ia supernova 2006le also appeared in UGC 3218 (cf. IAUC 8770).
