NAME

cursor - return position and value of pixel under cursor

SYNOPSIS

cursor [number] [quiet]

DESCRIPTION

This program allows the user to choose pixels in any image window by pointing to them with the mouse and clicking the Left button. The row, column, and adu value of the chosen pixel are then printed to the standard output, and the program continues. To stop, the user must press the Right button.

OPTIONS

If the number option is given, then each line of output is preceded by an integer, starting at one and increasing by one for each star. The output then resembles the first four columns of the stars, output, and may be used by other programs that use the DAOPHOT style locations.

As long as this program is active, the image cursor changes from its normal shape to that of a pencil.

quiet supresses the message `click Left for value, Right to stop'.
