archive - create monthly data archive tape
SYNOPSIS
archive Mon
DESCRIPTION
This C-shell script writes a backup tape in tar format of all the days of the
specified month. It also writes a file Mon.LOG in the CAT
directory.
One should run the
nofat
program to compress all the data and remove
junk files prior to
archiving.
Finally you should rename the file Mon.LOG to MonYY.LOG.
BUGS
The file Mon.LOG should have the year appended automatically.
