BAIT: jd command

NAME

jd - calculates the Julian Date

SYNOPSIS

jd [ut=hh:mm:ss] [date=dd/mm/yyyy] [mjd] [help]

DESCRIPTION

This program prints out the Julian Date in format like 2450830.5281 . When used without arguments, it prints out the current JD using the system clock.

OPTIONS

ut=hh:mm:ss - calculates for Universal time of hh:mm:ss

date=dd/mm/yyyy - calculates for UT date specified.

mjd - prints out the modified julian date, e.g. 50830.0281.

BUGS

The date cannot be before 1902.
