SUPERNOVA 2001E IN NGC 3905

Modjaz and Li also report the discovery with KAIT of another apparent supernova on unfiltered images on Jan. 5.5 (mag about 17.6) and 6.4 UT (mag about 17.2). SN 2001E is located at R.A. = 11h49m05s.00, Decl. = -9 44'10".9 (equinox 2000.0), which is 0".6 east and 23".2 south of the nucleus of NGC 3905. A KAIT image of the same field taken on 2000 Dec. 30.5 showed nothing at the position of the new object (limiting mag about 19.0).
