SUPERNOVA 2008bv IN UGC 4653

Further to CBET 1341, W. Li and A. V. Filippenko report the LOSS
discovery of an apparent supernova on unfiltered KAIT images:

 SN       2008 UT       R.A. (2000.0) Decl.      Mag.      Offset
2008bv   Apr. 19.21   8 53 54.64  +35 08 57.5   18.8    1".7 E, 3".9 S

The offset is relative to the northern component of the interacting galaxy
pair.  Additional KAIT magnitudes for 2008bv:  Feb. 26.29 UT, [19.9; Apr.
22.20, 18.3.

Host galaxy info: vel =16748 km/s; 1.9 x 0.5; 14.5; Sy?

SN type info: Ia
