Introduction
We have already covered the
Fourier Transform
, and how it cannot be used for spectral analysis of a
continuous
time signal. Unfortunately, computers can't handle a continuous
signal, they have to have discrete samples. Therefore, we need a discrete
form of the Fourier transform that can give us spectral analysis of discrete
signals.
