Astron C249: Planetary Astronomy (Fall 2017, Fall 2018)

This graduate seminar on planetary astronomy is designed to give students the background knowledge and practical skills required to conduct research on planets within and beyond our solar system. The class is primarily targeted at graduate students, but advanced undergraduates may enroll with instructor permission. Programming experience (preferably in Python) is required because many class assignments include working with real and simulated astronomical data sets.
